About the event
A cultural experience that blends traditional Japanese artistry with modern circus skills, All The Way From Japan showcases a dynamic fusion of Edo Daikagura—an over 400-year-old performance tradition—alongside cutting-edge juggling and comedic audience interaction. Rooted in celebration, ritual, and good fortune, Edo Daikagura brings symbolic meaning to every movement: spinning objects evoke harmony and continuity, while intricate balancing feats represent stability and perseverance.
Having trained in Bunkyo, Tokyo under the 13th-generation master of the prestigious Maruichi Senoh Troupe, Yuki brings rare, lineage-based knowledge to the stage—offering audiences an authentic glimpse into an art form with fewer than 150 active practitioners remaining in Japan.
From samurai swords to crystal ball manipulation, this high-energy, family-friendly performance is equal parts skill, and cultural exchange. Blending physical comedy, audience connection, and centuries-old traditions, each show creates a unique and memorable experience—entertaining while preserving and sharing a vanishing art form with audiences across Canada.
